for the love of...

...PHOTOGRAPHY
I have been struck with the love of photography... I really want to be skilled at it and take pictures for people.. I am currently looking into classes to take to fulfil this dream of mine.
This weekend my gorgeous friend Rachel and I took a little trip up to Payson to spend some time together and for a little photo shoot. Thanks goes to Mr. Garner for letting us borrow his sweet camera.. I played around with the pictures and ended up with shots straight out of an American Eagle ad...
(More pics from the weekend to come)

If you would like to be a model to help me practice my photography skills.. let me know!!

Tra la la ... lots of photos

There has been a lot to blog about and so little time to do it.. mainly from all of my belongings nagging me to pack it up.. ugh!!! Moving day is in 3 days and counting.

....................................................

Let me see.... where to start...

....................................................

How about here, Saturday night....
Krissa and I before the YSA Christmas party... I got my hair done earlier that day and am now a brunette.. or something close to that... I'm still Blonde at heart! (and a little bit in the highlights) :)
Krissa, you look so lovely!!!!

Now onto the Cookie Chronicles... Monday night I made these Peppermint Sugar cookies for a birthday at work.. (recipe below)

Recipe~~

Take a roll of Sugar Cookie dough and put it into a bowl... smash up some candy canes and mix into the dough... roll into balls and place on baking sheet...bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 min. Once cooled from the oven, melt chocolate chips and dip the cookies in it or drizzle on top.. let sit on wax paper until chocolate is cooled. And Enjoy!
Thank you Food Network!!!

Then... random photo time with Chelsea...and some with Kenzie, and Cristy.. and Chuck

The proof
that..
It's beginning to look a lot
like
Christmas

A little Christmas time miracle..

My Aunt Cristy has always had a hard time getting my cousin Kenzie to sit still long enough to curl her hair but only once before... We were admiring how she had worn her black velvety Christmas dress with the red sash (from last year) and her red sparkly Dorothy shoes around the house all day.. the only difference was the curly hair.. or as she likes to say it "turly" hair.
At that moment I tried to convince her to let me turl her hair... She said yes at first but that means little because the last time I tried that, it didn't happen... Just then her mom spoke up and said we could eat chocolate cake while we turl her hair... she then agreed.
I ran as fast as I could up the stairs to get the turling iron and fancy light up mirror to make a little fashion studio set up in the kitchen....
And so the turling began.... She stayed completely still so as to not get burned..(devouring chocolate cake all the while) it was cute.
When we were done we had created a monster.. she liked herself a little too much!! We ran to get out cameras and ascended like paparazzi taking as many pictures as we could to document this momentous occasion.

And this is the monster..with turled hair

I love that she is holding "Raffie"

Celebrating Kelly's Ending of Singleness

November 1st we celebrated the ending of single womanhood for Kelly!
We finally got to use all of the cute stuff that Krissa and I (The Oh Snaps Sisters) have been making for the past while!! It was soo fun!! It started out with Krissa and I picking up the Bachelorette and then heading over to Cheesecake Factory to meet all the girls there. After that we made our way to Samantha's place and munched on Fondue and opened some quite interesting and questionable gifts. We played Pin the bow tie on the bachelor.. Can you say.. risque.. :) Suzi brought her little baby and we all got a turn holding him!!

Here are some pictures from the night!

Babysitting

A few nights ago I babysat for Kath and Treven while they were trying to move into their house. (Which is beautiful, by the way) I took out my camera and started having some fun! I love these kids so much! (I messed with the pictures a little..)
