When: Saturday afternoon

Where: In front of my house in the blistering heat

Scene: I was shutting my garage when I lifted my arm to put the opener in my purse,

my itouch that I had {stupidly} placed in my arms fell to the ground with a dull smack, face down to the concrete.

Kandyce turned around {as if in slow motion} stunned as I let out a long "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!" I didn't even want to pick it up.. I knew there was damage.. how could there not be!? On the way down to pick it up I got a glimmer of hope that there could be nothing wrong with it...then I got it off the ground and turned it over.. boy was I wrong.. it had spiderweb cracked all the way up the front

{ I would have posted a picture it was pretty graphic and no one should ever have to see that and I was in too much shock and a rush to get it fixed that I forgot}

I still had the receipt and case from when I bought it.. so I called the number and got loads of help from Patrick at Apple.

Part of our convo went something like this:

Pat: "So why don't you tell me what happened.."

Me: {shortened, not so dramatic version of story above} "and I brushed my finger along it to see if it still worked and it kind of scratched my finger but it still worked."

Pat: {very dramatic, concerned voice} "Was there blood when this happened?!"

Me: "no..."

Pat: {even more dramatic and demanding}"Okay Ma'am, for safety reasons I am going to have to ask you to put down the ipod!"

Me: "Okay, okay, I put it down a long time ago.. I haven't touched it! Promise!"

Turns out that the repair would cost $150 to fix but since I haven't ever called them about a problem or a repair they gave it to me for free!!!

Miracle of miracles I get my baby...err I mean my ipod fixed for free!!!
