what's going on... or off...

My body woke itself up at 11 pm last night..first thing I noticed was that my fan was off.. I went to turn it back on and nothing happened... quickly, I noticed that the power was out all over the house.. then attempted going to the bathroom in the dark.. why did I get a sick sense of accomplishment from that?... anyways.. I looked out my window and noticed that all the street lights were out too.. Okay so what in the world was going on?! It was confusing!
Then... off in the abyss of the darkness I heard a beeping..it went off every 10 to 12 seconds.. It was a smoke detector.. and sadly the battery was dying.. but that thing pressed on.. beeping, but in a sad, dying battery tone.. It was a screechy sound..that was not pleasant.
Shortly after, my mom came into my room asking what the beeping was.. she said it was coming from my room.. I could have sworn it was from outside.. apparently not being able to see temporarily didn't make out hearing better... lies.. all of them...
I had to fall asleep to the gosh forsaken sound which made for a very light, very interrupted sleep...
and I couldn't sleep in... oh bother!!!

Power went out here too. Of course people were quick to jump to conclusions and assume that I didn't pay the electric bill. Your blog proves my point which is, I rock. And I paid the bill this month. Boom.

I miss you.

I was seriously freaking out when the power went out. Ever since I reached adulthood, I have to have a night light. I know. So sad. But it's the truth. I woke up to black and it scared me and I thought someone was in the room trying to kill me. So I tried to wake David up secretly so the killer wouldn't suspect I was awake. He woudn't budge so I mustered all the courage in me and reached out of the blanket and shook him hard and yelled his name. It took a couple times of this and he woke up. He was mad. Oh well. I could care less. I was seriously afraid. So David eventually got out of bed and went out of our room to check on things. He shut the door behind him and left me alone (with Rylie to protect me, thank goodness) with the killer. I don't think I've ever been so scared in my life. When he came back I told him I need a flashlight. He said no. I said I wouldn't let him sleep until I got one. He obeyed and then we had a good night.
