Scouts re-cap

I didn't think I would write about my scouts experience every week.. but these boys keep cracking me up!!
Last night we had a competition to cook oatmeal cookies (we had to make it a "competition" to boy-it-up a little) I immediately called the three nice (calm) boys to be on my team..
My teamMom's team (oh my)

We were off to a good start... The other team (rowdy boys) were taunting my team and making them speed up... Spencer then said, "Guys, slow down.. slow down.. it's the end result that matters." Did I mention how much I love this kid!?!

When they were done (ours were the best) we took some to the neighbors.
(only reason his thumbs are down is cause there were butterscotch chips in these ones)

Then we played tag.. yes we...
There was a rule I don't recall.. Remember the "123 not it!!" to figure out who is "it"?.... Well now it's "123 old-fashioned way"... this means that the first one to speak is "it"... I learned this rule after speaking first two times and being "it"
Also, I still don't understand the saying "baby guarding" when you are in front of a person who you just tagged and froze so that someone can't get to them and un-freeze them..
All I know is that there is still a 10 sec. base.
Later we were inside and one of the boys decided to write on my arm with a red marker (don't quite remember how it came to that) so then it turned into a wrestling match..
lesson learned: 9 year olds are rough and have a lot of energy
Nevertheless I won
