Volunteer work in our Community

Today during work, my team and I went and served lunch at a homeless shelter. It was a very fulfilling day to say the least. When you are serving these people you can see through their eyes to their souls that are full with gratitude. I felt all warm and fuzzy after we were done. We went out to eat afterward and it was then, as we sat down to have our full size meals served to us that I realized am are pretty blessed and fortunate to have the life I have. We should really take nothing for granted ever. And I highly suggest taking some time and serving lunch at a shelter. It will open your eyes and you heart.

My team in front of the sign that thanked UOP for coming and helping!

(I am leaving out the very unfortunate and entertaining event of my manager locking her keys in the car and my team trying to get them out for 40 minutes.)

It also opens your managers car door when her keys are locked inside! :P
